RESUME'

Domenico Cambria, after some years of studies and searches effected on the whole territory Irpino (Avellino), he has tracked ancient texts that spoke of a Boviaunum placed in the “tall valley of the Calore” down, near the sources of that river, where the tribe of the Hirpinis came around the year 1000 a.Cs. These discoveries and others, have brought the researcher to riscrivere the history of the Sannio, above all that tied up to the III war samnitica, bringing in territory hirpino Aquilonia, Murgantia, Romulea, Ferentinum and Touxion. Always in virtue of these ancient indications, Cambria has recovered among Nucras (Nusco) and Batulum (Bagnoli I.), the rests of an ancient city of die samnita, probably the Boviaum always treated by the III conflit.
The error committed by the historians of the past, according to Cambria, it consists in the fact that the Hirpinis, after the defeat suffered with Annibale (209 a.Cs.), they were separated from the remainder Sannio through the "Fields taurasini" and cancelled by the historical annales. In the recomposition done around the year 1700, they had exchanged for lucani or for Bruzi, expelled therefore from the history. E.T. Salmon, partly, he has corrected the error.
Inside the open city, for the most greater entire part in her structures, a human sacrificial run of Celtic die has been recovered. Besides, in an adjacent zone, they have been open of the Menhirs and a Cromlech: on the Menirs the signs of an ancient Celtic alphabet, the runic one. Thanks to these finds, only in their kind in the Sannio, Cambria is of the opinion that, interferences already verified of Celtic die inside the Sannio, have to be sights in the tribe of the Hirpinis. At the end of the jobs Cambria has published “HIRPINIA il Sannio Ritrovato", reaches the III edition.
